The Wolves of Willoughby Chase - This is not my book review!

A Pre-script:
This is NOT my book review!
I love classics, and this is a really classic book!
Number of chapters~11
Author~ Joan Aiken
Plot~ Bonnie Green's parents are going abroad because her mother's health is bad. Her relation Miss Slighcarp comes to look after her and her orphan cousins Sylvia, who comes to live with here. The story is set in an imaginary period of England's history. Packs of wolves are everywhere in the country The boat Bonnie's parents are on sinks and Miss Slighcarp tells the girls they are dead. She sends them to an orphanage where they work every hard for Mrs Brisket. Their friend Simon helps them escape and they go to London to find Sylvia's Aunt Jane and to find out whether Bonnie's parents are really dead. In the end Sir Willoughby and Lady Green return to Willoughby Chase having survived the shipwreck and Miss Slighcarp, Mrs Brisket and their friend Mr. Grimshaw are brought to justice.
In spite of the title, I found the story was not so much about wolves. It is the first book in a long series and I'd really like to read the next ones. I recommend it for any age.

My semi-first book review -Taking care of David by Elisabeth Batt

David is little and has no friends and Mindy likes to look after him; he is always an angel with her, though bad with everyone else he meets.
First the story starts with Mindy's father away and her mother dead. Her father comes back 3 days into the story.
When one day she gets home from school there's a post card waiting; "Why he's in England already, because it's an English stamp!" she exclaimed. All the post card said was 'Longing to see you Friday. I'm bringing a lovely surprise. Love from Daddy.'
Then she finds out the surprise: A stepmother, with her son, David.
Taking care of David is all about Mindy helping her new step brother out of all his troubles and putting him into new ones.
This book is fascinating and it's a must read book.
